ROATAN IS BOOMING!
In the past 50 years, Roatan tourism has grown from around 1,000 annual visitors to nearly 2 million. The West end town of Coxen Hole is now fully developed with an international airport, a large cruise port, and enough nearby hotels and restaurants to service these incoming tourists.
The island measures just 37 miles from end to end, with a maximum width from North to South of less than 5 miles. Due to the fact that most development has been limited to the West end, most tourism takes place in and around Coxen Hole.
